Aside from sending a large contingent of journalists to Park City each year to cover the festival (this year less parkas and more slippers!), the HFPA is a longtime supporter of the Sundance Institute’s Feature Film Program and the Women at Sundance Initiative offering creative development opportunities for women behind the camera. This year the institute will once again receive an HFPA grant in support of its invaluable work. Since 2018 we have also hosted the HFPA Women’s Panel at the Sundance Film Festival as a forum to explore and foster the emerging artistic diversity. This year is no exception: our virtual panel,  “Women Breaking Barriers: An Industry Shift?” will stream live Saturday, January 30 on GoldenGlobes.com, the Golden Globe Youtube Channel and the dedicated HFPA Sundance page HERE.
