JODIE FOSTER: WE HAD SO MUCH FUN AT THE GLOBES!
HFPA President Dr. Aida Takla-O’Reilly has received a “thank you” letter from Jodie Foster. The Oscar-winning actress was a guest at this year’s Golden Globe awards ceremony with her two sons, Charlie, 13 and Kit, 9 who were both at the Globes for the first time.
Jodie (left), who has been nominated seven times for Golden Globes since 1977 and won twice, for Silence of the Lambs and The Accused, laughed when the show’s host Ricky Gervais cracked a joke about The Beaver, the movie she made with Mel Gibson.
In her letter Jodie wrote:
“Aida,
We had so much fun. Better and less stressful than I can remember, except maybe in the late 70s. I thought the monologue was a hoot and the boys were proud to have their mom jeered Prime Time! Thank you for helping us. We are so appreciative. The boys will never forget their night.
Best,
Jodie.”
