On Music: Zoë Kravitz, Deeply in Sync

Daughter of 90s rock god Lenny Kravitz, Zoë’s relationship with music is profound. Does music helps her envision a character?

“Music has always been such a deep, deep part of the process of discovering a character for me. And I will never forget the amazing experience that I had with Big Little Lies director, Jean-Marc Vallée, his love for music is so great. He was constantly sending me songs that would play in the background – he would always play music on set. And I think it made it just such a more yummy environment to be in – my character’s relationship with this music and the way I move to the music. It validates even more my need and my love of music.”
