Podcast: Going Back with Robert Pattinson

In 2008, Robert Pattinson became famous overnight. Portraying moody vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight franchise, based on the best-selling novels by Stephenie Meyer. In 2019, when he finished the 4th and final film in that franchise, he diligently went to work proving he would not be stereotyped, making non-main-stream films including: The Rover (2014), Queen of the Desert (2015), The Lighthouse (2019) and The King (2019).

His latest film, however, is about as high profile as you can get. In The Batman, also starring Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, he steps into the well-worn shoes of both Bruce Wayne and the Caped Crusader in the film directed by Matt Reeves. In honor of his return to being number one at the box office, we thought it was a good time to revisit Pattinson’s 2019 podcast interview with HFPA member Kristien Gijbels.
