STARS, MONSTERS, ROBOTS AND THE HFPA EXPLORE COMIC-CON

Monsters, robots, vampires and werewolves mingled with fans, followers, hundreds of journalists and, of course, stars, at this year’s wild and crazy Comic-Con convention in San Diego.

Among the wilder stunts was the warehouse Legendary Pictures turned into a Japanese monster theme park to promote Godzilla, and Ubisoft, the video game company, firing cannons from a pirate ship docked behind the convention center to generate buzz for Assassin’s Creed 1V.

But the focus of the convention—and the reason a contingent from the HFPA was there—was on upcoming movies and television shows and their stars.

Between the panels and interviews photographer Theo Kingma had time to explore the convention hall and capture with his camera some of the weirder sights and scenes.
