Well-Dressed Gents at the 2014 HFPA Grants Dinner Banquet
The ladies weren’t the only ones getting all gussied up for the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Grants Dinner Banquet last night, as a slew of masculine stars showed up at the Beverly Hilton Hotel ready to have a good time. As the HFPA handed out almost $2 million in grant checks to entertainment-related charities, Jason Segel, Andy Samberg and Morgan Freeman celebrated the evening in their dark dapper suits. “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson was bold in black while Nick Jonas and James Marsden seemed to prefer a grey approach to their eveningwear. And though his suit was basic enough, Channing Tatum made quite an impression with his gleaming white smile and piercing eyes. During the banquet, HFPA President Theo Kingma announced that in addition to the almost $2 million in donations, the Guggenheim Partners had also made $7.5 million available for further philanthropy. He explained, “It underscores a new kind of partnership and we are going to make sure it is shared with those that are so deserving in an industry HFPA journalists cover all year. We try every year to give as much as we can to these highly deserving organizations. It is gratifying to know that our efforts are appreciated and we are helping to further the cause of education and film preservation.” [gallery:3405]
