Yoshiki’s Golden Globes theme to be released internationally

image001

In 2012 the Golden Globes received a very special gift — a musical theme composed and performed by international superstar Yoshiki. This year, right after the Globes, on January 15, the theme will be available in 111 countries through ITunes. All proceeds will be donated to charities chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. “It’s such an honor to be a part of this esteemed event, which is enjoyed by hundreds of millions around the world,” Yoshiki said in a statement. “Composing this music was a journey that involved creating numerous versions in order to arrive at just the right sound to capture the unique combination of glamour and edginess that makes the Golden Globe Awards so entertaining. I’m very proud of the result and am thrilled that Warner Music has chosen to make it available around the world.” The sweeping Hollywood-inspired rock/classical instrumental piece  is part of the Globes awards presentation ceremony, and a few bars from it are featured in the opening of our video clips.
