Uncharted remains the #1 box-office earner in Russia: with just a 30 % drop versus its opening weekend, the first feature produced by Sony PlayStation Productions grossed 231 mln RUB ($3. 1 mln) for a total of 675 mln RUB ($9 mln) since its release last week.

The 72nd Berlin International Film Festival was held, as a live event, from February 10-20 2022, and despite the fairly subdued mood this year, due to continuing pandemic restrictions, the Festival was considered to be a resounding success. Over 250 films were screened, spread over a total of twelve sections from Panorama to Forum, all the way to Main Competition.

Actor Will Smith, actress Sherri Shepherd, and journalist Jemele Hill are just a handful of the stars who won awards at the NAACP Image Awards on Monday night. This year the show is virtual and happens over six consecutive nights.

Uncharted easily charted to the top of the box office and gave Tom Holland the number one and three slots with his Spider-Man: No Way Home swinging back to the race. Solidifying his status as a box office star, Holland claimed the box office crown with Uncharted, director Ruben Fleischer’s movie adaptation of Naughty Dog’s video game series of the same name.

37 million fans loved the Playstation classic ‘Uncharted’. No surprise then that the live-action film version played its way into the top spot, while Germany’s most successful movie of 2022 so far stuck to number two, and Sing 2 held its notes in third place.

Antonio Banderas, a five-time Golden Globe nominee, is on the top of the box office with the international hit Uncharted, with Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg. Back in 1998 Banderas spoke to the journalists of the Hollywood Foreign Press in 1998 about The Mask of Zorro, directed by Martin Campbell, co-starring Anthony Hopkins, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.

On Thursday, February 17th, in Los Angeles, a full retrospective dedicated to Pier Paolo Pasolini was inaugurated on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. It’s the first big event of a five-year partnership between the Italian studio Cinecittà and the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
