  Although Casper Van Dien has appeared in over 150 TV and film credits during his 30-year-plus career, he will probably always be best remembered for two early iconic roles: as General Johnny Rico in Starship Troopers (1997) and as the King of the Jungle himself in Tarzan and the Lost City (1998). The internet, and in particular social media, is regarded widely and not incorrectly as a machine for perpetual outrage. And yet sometimes that outrage is entirely justified, and worth indulging.

A new release, Chinese sci-fi comedy Moon Man, skyrocketed to the top of the box office after it opened this weekend, also showing on IMAX. Its presales had been off the charts – 100 million yuan - by Thursday, the biggest of the summer season according to Lighthouse, the entertainment data company.

A twice Golden Globe winner with six nominations, Brad Pitt stars as a trained killer in the action/comedy Bullet Train, opening this week. Pitt spoke to the journalists of the Golden Globes during several interviews between 1992 and 2004 about working with Robert Redford as a director on A River Runs Through It and as a fellow actor in Spy Game (2001) by Tony Scott, about the actors that he most admired growing up and other directors he worked with.
