Attendees at New York Comic Con 2021 were in for a supernatural surprise when Golden Globe winner Jason Reitman decided to host a secret screening of his latest movie, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. Reitman was scheduled to speak at a panel on the project and introduce some exclusive footage, but the filmmaker went a step further by playing the movie in its entirety – more than five weeks before its domestic release.

A Demogorgon from Stranger Things, Marvel’s Scarlet Witch and Rick Sanchez from the animated comedy Rick and Morty were three of the intricately costumed fans invited to ask David Harbour questions at his Spotlight panel at New York Comic Con. The Golden Globe-nominated actor hosted an hour-long panel at Manhattan’s Javits Center, where he discussed his acting career in television, movies, and on stage.

Jacqueline Lentzou’s Moon, 66 Questions won the New Visions Award and the Golden Puffin at the Reykjavik International Film Festival (RIFF), which closed its 18th edition on October 10th. The Golden Puffin is the main prize at RIFF, given to the “Discovery of the Year”, as selected by an international jury.

The NAACP and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA)announced a five-year collaborative partnership, joining forces in an effort to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion across the global entertainment industry.   Each year the HFPA and the NAACP Hollywood Bureau will collaborate on, fund, and support a series of trailblazing initiatives, with the overall goals of: Ensuring visibility of projects from artists of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds; Increasing diverse representation in the industry; Building pathways to inclusion for young artists and journalists of color.
