At 43, Liz Feldman is one of the youngest veterans of TV comedy writing. The creator of the hit TV show, Dead to Me, starring Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini started working as a writer on Nickelodeon when she was just 18.

The late Chadwick Boseman received a posthumous Best Actor award for his role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Following a major surge in his career in the last years of his life, in the hugely iconic roles such as Black Panther, Avengers and Da Five Bloods, Boseman succumbed to cancer in August of last year at the age of 43, after a four-year battle.

The British actress Vanessa Kirby was nominated for a Golden Globe as Best Actress in a Drama for her heart-wrenching performance in Pieces of a Woman, directed by Kornél Mundruczó. The screenplay was written by his wife Kata Wéber, inspired by the Hungarian couple’s tragic experience of losing a baby.

Andra Day was honored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association with two Golden Globe nominations, as Best Actress in a Drama for The United States vs. Billie Holiday directed by Lee Daniels, and for Best Original Song, “Tigress & Tweed,” in the same film.
