As a summer that most studios, distributors, theater owners and anyone else involved in the film business in the North American market would like to forget has come officially to its end, Fall started on a positive note. And brought the hope that maybe things may change and that the end is not here yet.

At its most recent General Meeting the members of the HFPA voted unanimously to donate $9,000 to three charities in honor of Robin Williams. The late Robin Williams was a great friend of the HFPA---always generous with his time for interviews or to perform as a presenter at the Golden Globe Awards.
