
Aaron Horvath
Aaron Horvath (born Aug. 19, 1980, in California) is a writer, producer, and director known for his work in animation, particularly his contributions to the comedic and action-packed superhero genre. Horvath began in the animation industry as a storyboard artist and writer on television. He worked on series like El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera and Fish Hooks. His big break came when he co-created the animated series Teen Titans Go! in 2013. The lighthearted, comedic take on DC’s Teen Titans characters earned Horvath widespread recognition. He served as director, producer, and writer for the show, pushing its silly and self-aware tone to huge success. Horvath co-directed Teen Titans Go! To the Movies (2018), a humorous feature film adaptation of the series. In 2023, Horvath made another major stride in feature animation as co-director of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, a box office hit that breathed new life into the Nintendo franchise.
