He wrote new songs for movies from his musicals, with Tim Rice“You Must Love Me” for Evita (1996) directed by Alan Parker starring Madonna and Antonio Banderas, with Charles Hart “Learn to Be Lonely” for The Phantom of the Opera (2004) directed by Joel Schumacher, with Taylor Swift “Beautiful Ghosts” for Cats (2019) directed by Tom Hooper.
