Ann Sothern
Ann Sothern (born Harriette Lake in Valley City, North Dakota, January 22, 1909, died March 15, 2001) acted on television in the sitcoms Private Secretary (1953-1957) and The Ann Sothern Show (1958-1961) that won a Television Achievement award at the 1959 Golden Globes. She starred in the movies of the Maisie series (1939-1947), she acted in Cry ‘Havoc’ (1943) with Margaret Sullavan and Joan Blondell, A Letter to Three Wives (1949) by Joseph L. Mankiewicz, The Blue Gardenia (1953) by Fritz Lang, The Best Man (1964) with Henry Fonda, The Whales of August (1987) with Bette Davis and Lillian Gish.
