Armand Assante, Jr. (born in New York City, October 4, 1949) acted in movies like Paradise Alley (1978) with Sylvester Stallone, Private Benjamin (1980) with Goldie Hawn, Unfaithfully Yours (1984) with Dudley Moore, Q & A (1990) with Nick Nolte directed by Sidney Lumet, The Mambo Kings (1992) with Antonio Banderas, Hoffa (1992) with Jack Nicholson directed by Danny DeVito. He played mobster Bugsy Segel in The Marrying Man (1991) with Kim Basinger and Alec Baldwin, crime boss John Gotti in the TV movie Gotti (1996), a member of the Lucchese crime family in American Gangster (2007) by Ridley Scott with Russell Crowe and Denzel Washington. On television he also acted in Jack the Ripper (1988) with Michael Caine, played Ulysses in The Odyssey (1997).
