Baz Luhrmann

Bazmark Luhrmann (born in Sydney, Australia, September 17, 1962), writer, director and producer, made his directorial debut with Strictly Ballroom (1992) based on his own stage play, directed Romeo + Juliet (1996) by William Shakespeare starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes, the musical Moulin Rouge! (2001) with Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor, Australia (2008) with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackson, The Great Gatsby (2013) starring Leonardo DiCaprio from the 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, Elvis (2022) with Austin Butler and Tom Hanks. He created for television the series The Get Down (2016-2017).
