Bill Nighy
William “Bill” Nighy (born in Caterham, England, December 12, 1949) acted in movies like Still Crazy (1998), The Constant Gardener (2005) by Fernando Meirelles, Notes on a Scandal (2006) by Richard Eyre, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2012) by John Madden, Love Actually (2003), Pirate Radio (2009) and About Time (2012) all three written and directed by Richard Curtis. He was the Captain of the Flying Dutchman in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (2006) and Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End (2007). He played the father in Emma. (2020) directed by Autumn de Wilde from the 1815 novel by Jane Austen starring Anya Taylor-Joy, he starred in Living (2022), remake of Ikiru (1952) by Akira Kurosawa. On television Nigh acted in the series State of Play (2003), the movies The Girl in the Café (2005), Gideon’s Daughter (2006). He played Johhny Worricker in the BBC trilogy written and directed by David Hare: Page Eight (2011), Turks and Caicos (2014), Salting the Battlefield (2014).
