Bob Newhart
George Robert Newhart (born in Oak Park, Illinois, September 5, 1929. Died in Los Angeles, California, July 18, 2024) started acting on television in the variety show The Bob Newhart Show (1961-1962). He won a Golden Globe in 1962 as “Best New Television Comedian.” He starred in the sitcom also titled The Bob Newhart Show (1972-1978), then in Newhart (1982-1990) with Mary Frann. He acted in movies like Catch 22 (1970) by Mike Nichols with Alan Alda, In & Out (1997) by Frank Oz with Kevin Kline, Elf (2003) by Jon Favreau with Will Ferrell.
