Chen Kaige

Chen Kaige (born Aug. 12, 1952, in Beijing) won a Golden Globe for Farewell, My Concubine (1993) He is one of the Fifth Generation of filmmakers in China, with other films including Temptress Moon (1996) and The Emperor and the Assassin (1999). He co-directed (with Tsui Jark and Dante Lam) The Battle at Lake Changjin (2021), which becameChina’s highest-grossing film of all time.
