Claude Chabrol
Claude Chabrol (born in Paris, France, June 24, 1930, died September 12, 2010) started as a film critic for the magazine Cahiers du cinéma, was a member of the French New Wave. He directed movies like Le Beau Serge (1958), Les Cousins (1959), Les Bonnes Femmes (Story of Women) (1960), Les Biches (1968), La Femme Infidèle (1969), Le Boucher (1970). He directed Isabelle Huppert in Violette Nozière (1978), Une affaire de femmes (1988), Madame Bovary (1991) from the 1857 novel by Gustave Flaubert, La Cérémonie (1995).
