Eric Roberts
Eric Roberts (born in Biloxi, Mississippi, April 18, 1956), older brother of Julia Roberts, father of Emma Roberts, was nominated to a special Golden Globe called Best Acting Debut in a Motion Picture for King of the Gypsies (1978). He starred with Sissy Spacek in Raggedy Man (1981) by Jack Fisk, with Mariel Hemingway in Star 80 (1983) written and directed by Bob Fosse, with Mickey Rourke in The Pope of Greenwich Village (1984), with Jon Voight in Runaway Train (1986) by Andrei Konchalovsky, with Rosanna Arquette in Nobody’s Fool (1986). He played supporting roles in movies like The Specialist (1994) with Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints (2006), Inherent Vice (2014) by Paul Thomas Anderson. On television he acted in the miniseries In Cold Blood (1996) directed by Jonathan Kaplan from the 1966 novel by Truman Capote, the series Less Than Perfect (2002-2005), Crash (2009).
