Harold Pinter
Harold Pinter was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay for his 1982 film adaptation of the classic novel, The French Lieutenant’s Woman, which starred Meryl Streep and Jeremy Irons and is considered one of the most influential modern British dramatists of the 20th century. The English playwright, screenwriter, director and actor won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2005 and his film writing credits include: The Servant (1963), Golden-Globe nominated Best English-Language Foreign Film The Go-Between (1972), The Trial (1993) and Sleuth (2007).
