Howard Ashman

Lyricist Howard Ashman (born May 17, 1950, in Baltimore; died March 14, 1991) wrote award-winning songs for Disney’s The Little Mermaid (1989), Beauty and the Beast (1991),and Aladdin (1992). They gained fame with their Off-Broadway musical Little Shop of Horrors in 1982 (it was filmed in 1986).
