Jesse Plemons

Jesse Plemons earned his first Golden Globe nomination, as best actor – musical or comedy for Yorgos Lanthimos’s film Kinds of Kindness, a performance that also got him the best actor award at Cannes.

Plemons made his acting debut at age 3, and his breakout work was in the TV series “Friday Night Lights.” Following that, he appeared in a number of films, including Battleship (2012), Paul (2011) and Observe and Report (2009). Additionally, he was cast in the final two season of  “Breaking Bad” (2008-2013).  He then appeared in Paul Thomas Anderson’s The Master.

In 2015, he was in Black Mass, with Johnny Depp; in Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies; Stephen Frears’ cycling film The Program; and Season 2 of the FX show “Fargo.”

Additional credits include the independent film Other People; The Discovery opposite Robert Redford; Scott Cooper’s Hostiles; Game Night; Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman; Vince Gilligan’s El Camino where he reprised his role from “Breaking Bad,” as well as Judas and The Black Messiah.

Some of Plemons’ most recent credits include starring in Disney’s Jungle Cruise; Scott Cooper’s film Antlers; Charlie Kaufman’s movie I’m Thinking of Ending Things; and Jane Campion’s feature The Power of the Dog.

More recently he co-starred in the limited series “Love & Death” opposite Elizabeth Olsen, and the feature Killers of the Flower Moon directed by Martin Scorsese. This February the limited series “Zero Day” will premiere on Netflix where he stars opposite Robert De Niro. Later in 2025, he is reteaming with Lanthimos in the film Bugonia. He is also currently working on Alejandro Iñárritu new film.
