
John Spiker
John Spiker (born December 23, 1981, in Columbus, Ohio) is a musician, producer and audio engineer who received his first Golden Globe nomination as a cowriter of the song from The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Many fans know him as the bassist for the rock band Tenacious D, fronted by Jack Black and Kyle Gass. He joined the group in 2005. He has also worked as a producer, engineer, and session musician for artists such as Filter, Pete Yorn, and Trainwreck.
