
Lenny Kravitz
Lenny Kravitz (born May 26, 1964, in New York City) is a Grammy-winning musician, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, record producer, and actor known for his blend of rock, funk, soul, jazz, and reggae. He began performing under the name “Romeo Blue” before using his real name and his debut album came in 1989, Let Love Rule. He followed with such albums as Mama Said (1991), Are You Gonna Go My Way (1993), and 5 (1998), featuring hits like “Fly Away” and “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over.” He won four consecutive Grammy Awards for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance (1999–2002), setting a record in the category. Kravitz is also an actor, with roles in films like Precious (2009) and The Hunger Games series.
