Loni Anderson

Loni Anderson (born August 5, 1945, in St. Paul, Minnesota; died Aug. 3, 2025 in Los Angeles) is best remembered as the smart and sexy receptionist Jennifer Marlowe in the sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati (1978–1982). She earned three consecutive Golden Globe nominations for her work as the antidote to “dumb blonde” characters, since Jennifer was often the smartest person at the radio station. She also appeared in TV movies and series like Partners in Crime (1984) and Easy Street (1986–1987) and TV movies including the title roles in two biopics, The Jayne Mansfield Story (1980) and White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd. In film, her credits include Stroker Ace (1983) alongside Burt Reynolds, to whom she was married from 1988 to 1994. Her relationship with Reynolds garnered significant attention in the tabloids. Anderson guest-starred in various shows and appearing in projects like So NoTORIous (2006). Her 1997 autobiography was titled “My Life in High Heels.”
