
Matthew Macfadyen
Matthew Macfadyen (born October 17, 1974, in Great Yarmouth, England) studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and performed for years in theater, such as the Royal Shakespeare Company. He gained international recognition for his portrayal of Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy in Joe Wright’s adaptation of Pride & Prejudice (2005) opposite Keira Knightley. On television, Macfadyen captured audiences with his role as **Tom Quinn** in the British spy series **”Spooks” (2002-2004)**, showcasing his talent in deeply intricate and morally complex roles. Macfadyen found a wide audience in HBO’s series Succession (2018-2023), where he played an ambitious yet painfully awkward character.
