Mira Sorvino (born in New York City, September 28), daughter of actor Paul Sorvino, won a Golden Globe as Best Supporting Actress for Mighty Aphrodite (1995) directed by Woody Allen, acted in Mimic (1997) by Guillermo del Toro, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion (1997) with Lisa Kudrow, At First Sight (1999) with Val Kilmer, The Triumph of Love (2002) with Ben Kingsley, Reservation Road (2007) with Mark Ruffalo. She played Marilyn Monroe in the TV movie Norma Jean & Marilyn (1996) with Ashley Judd, Daisy Buchanan in the TV movie The Great Gatsby (2000), acted in the miniseries Human Trafficking (2005) with Donald Sutherland, the miniseries Hollywood (2020) and Impeachment: American Crime Story (2021) by Ryan Murphy.
