Richard Chamberlain
George Richard Chamberlain (born in Beverly Hills, California, March 31, 1934) became known for playing the titular doctor in the television series Dr. Kildare (1961-1966), where he also sang the theme “Three Stars Will Shine Tonight.” He acted in movies like The Madwoman of Chaillot (1969) with Katherine Hepburn, The Music Lovers (1971) directed by Ken Russell where he played Russian composer Tchaikovsky, Lady Caroline Lamb (1972) as Lord Byron, The Three Musketeers (1973) by Richard Lester, The Last Wave (1977) by Peter Weir, King Solomon’s Mines (1985). On television he acted in The Count of Monte-Cristo (1975), The Man in the Iron Mask (1977), Centennial (1979-1979), Shōgun (1980) with Toshiro Mifune, The Thorn Birds (1983) with Rachel Ward and Barbara Stanwyck, Wallenberg: A Hero’s Story (1985), The Bourne Identity (1988), Island Son (1989-1990), Blackbeard 2006).
