Ryuichi Sakamoto

Ryuichi Sakamoto (born in Tokyo, Japan, January 17, 1952, died March 28, 2023) composed music scores for Japanese movies like Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983) by Nagisa Ōshima where he also acted, for the movies directed by Bernardo Bertolucci: The Last Emperor (1987), The Sheltering Sky (1990), and Little Buddha (1993). He also wrote the score for movies like High Heels (1991) by Pedro Almodóvar, Snake Eyes (1998) by Brian De Palma, The Revenant (2015) by Alejandro González Iñárritu.
