Scott Hicks

Robert Scott Hicks (born in Uganda, March 4, 1953, moved to Adelaide, Australia with his English parents in 1967) directed movies like Shine (1996) with Geoffrey Rush as pianist David Helfgott, Snow Falling on Cedars (1999) with Ethan Hawke from the 1994 novel by David Guterson, Hearts in Atlantis (2001) with Anthony Hopkins from a 1999 novella by Stephen King, No Reservations (2007) with Catherine Zeta-Jones, remake of the German film Mostly Martha (2001) by Sandra Nettelbeck, The Boys Are Back (2009) with Clive Owen, The Lucky One (2012) with Zac Ephron. He wrote and directed the documentary Glass: A Portrait of Philip in Twelve Parts (2007).
