Shirley Booth
Shirley Booth (born Marjory Ford in Brooklyn, New York, August 30, 1898, died October 16, 1992), a stage actress, made her film debut starring with Burt Lancaster in Come Back, Little Sheba (1952) from the 1950 play by William Inge, reprising the role she had performed on Broadway. She starred with Anthony Perkins and Shirley MacLaine in The Matchmaker (1958) from the 1955 play by Thornton Wilder. On television she played the tile role in the sitcom Hazel (1961-1966), acted in the TV version of The Glass Menagerie (1966) from the 1944 play by Tennessee Williams.
