Tim Rice
Timothy Rice (born in Shardeloes, Bucks, England, November 10, 1944), a lyricist, wrote with Elton John and Alan Menken songs like “A Whole New World” and “A Friend Like Me” for the animated Aladdin (1993), “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and “Circle of Life” for the animated The Lion King (1994), with Andrew Lloyd Webber the original song “You Must Love Me” for the film version of Evita (1996) starring Madonna directed by Alan Parker from the 1978 stage musical. He wrote with Alan Menken three new songs for Beauty and the Beast (2017) directed by Bill Condon, a live version of the animated 1991 movie, with Elton John a new song “Never Too Late” for The Lion King (2019) computer-animated remake by Jon Favreau.
