Troy Donahue
Troy Donahue (born Merle Johnson in New York City, January 27, 1936, died September 2, 2001) won a special Golden Globe called International Stardom Award for A Summer Place (1959) by Delmer Daves costarring Sandra Dee, was directed by Daves again in Parrish (1961) with Claudette Colbert, Susan Slade (1961) with Connie Stevens, Rome Adventure (1962) with Angie Dickinson and future wife Suzanne Pleshette. He starred with Connie Stevens in Palm Springs Weekend (1963), with Suzanne Pleshette in the Western A Distant Trumpet (1964) by Raoul Walsh.
