Wanda Sykes

Wanda Sykes (born March 7, 1964 in Portsmouth, VA) joined “The Chris Rock Show” comedy series in 1997. She has acted in scripted comedies (“Bad Moms,” “Evan Almighty,” “Monster-in-Law”) and has many writing credits (“The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show,” “Last Comic Standing”) and was a creator of the series “The Upshaws.” But she’s best known for her standup work, which earned her a 2023 Golden Globe nomination.
