William Shatner
William Shatner (born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, March 22, 1931) acted on the Broadway stage, appeared in movies like The Brother Karamazov (1958) by Richard Brooks with Yul Brynner, Judgment at Nuremberg (1961) by Stanley Kramer, The Outrage (1964) by Martin Ritt with Paul Newman. He became known as Captain Kirk in the television series Star Trek (1966-1969) and in the movies Star Trek: The Motion Picture (1979) directed by Robert Wise, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (1982), Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1983) and Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986) both directed by Leonard Nimoy, Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989) directed by Shatner, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country (1991), Star Trek Generations (1994). He appeared in Miss Congeniality (2000) and sequel Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous (2004) starring Sandra Bullock. On television Shatner played a police sergeant in T.J. Hooker (1982-1985), an attorney in The Practice (2004) and its spinoff Boston Legal (2004-2008) with James Spader and Candice Bergen.
