Artemis Fowl: Fairies, Goblins and Style

“We experimented with a lot of different colors”, says Sammy Sheldon Differ, Artemis Fowl‘s costume designer. “Sir Ken (Branagh, director) was very specific. We felt there were a few things from the book that had to be incorporated when creating the costumes, like the mesh surrounding the fairies – it keeps them protected. During prep, Eoin (Colfer, author of the Artemis Fowl series) came to see what we were doing and was blown away that we’d picked up on things like that in the books and enhanced them. We were left to be creative.”
