Cannes 2021- Days Three and Four: Love, Joy and “Stillwater”

Maybe it was the strong film selection. Maybe it was the summery vibe. Or maybe, like director Thierry Frémaux said, it is the very nature of a festival – to bring people together to watch, digest, and enjoy movies. Something that everybody wanted after a long, harsh period of confinement. This has been so far, a very joyful Cannes, punctuated by generous ovations at the end of the official screenings.
