The glamour of Cannes is unfolding as you look at this. Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum in New York brought out the glitterati and hinted at what we will see on the Croisette in the days ahead – though the Met Gala provided extreme spectacle of a unique kind.
