Golden Globe Style – Jennifer Lopez: Sensuality and Sophistication
The Golden Globe nominees were announced and the winners will be chosen on January 5th, shown on NBC live from Beverly Hills. While the Golden Globes honors the best in television and film, the red carpet is also a celebration of creativity. Since the golden age of Hollywood, premieres have become a chance to see our favorite stars, and that is even truer for the Golden Globes, where the very best of the best are celebrated in one place. More and more, people look to the red carpet to be inspired. Recently it has also become a place for political statements. People wear pins, sweaters, and purses with political messages. A few years ago, women made a political statement in support of the #What’sup and #Metoo movement to reject color as though in mourning for opportunities not available. This year anything is possible but there are some stars who always light up the red carpet. J-Lo, nominated in the best supporting category, has always understood how to draw the spotlight. The multi-hyphenate is predictable in her refusal to be defined. Currently styled by Rob Zangardi, she continually mixes it up – though always combines sensuality and sophistication. Let’s look back at her Golden Globe moments.
