Our history with Meryl Streep, our Cecil B. deMille award recipient for 2017, goes all the way back to 1979, when we nominated her for the first time, in the best supporting actress category, for director Michael Cimino's The Deer Hunter. 29 nominations, 8 Golden Globe awards and hundreds of press conferences later, we are still and always will be in awe of her immense talent. On the red carpet, on stage as a presenter, backstage at parties and press rooms, Meryl is a brilliant, integral part of the last four decades of the Golden Globes.
