Awards Season

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) and dick clark productions (dcp) announced the date for next year's Golden Globes ceremony today. The Awards will be presented on Sunday, January 11, 2015.

The 2014 Writers Guild Awards for outstanding achievement in writing for screen, television, radio, news, promotional, videogame, and new media writing were announced by The Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) and the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) simultaneously live at the JW Marriott L. A.

LL Cool J once again hosted this year's Grammy Awards, which aired on CBS. Music's royalty, Jay Z and Beyonce, opened the show with a hot performance.

Honoring the behind-the-scenes talent that helped shape the experience of theatergoers around the world over the past year, the 66th Annual Directors Guild of America Awards were held on Saturday night (January 25). The big winner this year was Alfonso Cuarón, whose film Gravity won the Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film prize.
