Who would have ever thought that the guy in the box-office hit franchise, The Hangover, would turn out to be one of Hollywood’s critically-acclaimed filmmakers?Bradley Cooper, who portrayed Phil Wenneck, a teacher and leader of the Wolfpack, a group of guys who found themselves in trouble after a wild night in Las Vegas in The Hangover, is not only portraying the jaded hard-drinking country music singer-songwriter Jackson Maine, who falls in love with an upcoming nightclub singer Ally Maine (portrayed by Lady Gaga) in A Star is Born, but also directed, wrote and produced the musical romantic drama. A Star is Born, which marks the fourth remake of the original 1937 film, is Cooper’s directorial feature film debut.

The third remake of the well-worn showbiz tale A Star is Born marks the directorial debut of Bradley Cooper and the feature film debut Lady Gaga. Cooper stars as country musician Jackson Maine who mentors and falls in love with struggling singer Ally (played by Lady Gaga), but as her star rises, his diminishes as he struggles with his own addiction issues.

Golden Globe nominee Bradley Cooper stunned the audience at the Venice Film Festival with his directorial debut, a remake of A Star Is Born. Besides guiding Lady Gaga on a rock ‘n roll stage, Bradley plays the part of a down and out rock star consumed by pills and alcohol, who finds redemption in his love for music.

“To me, it was a sign from God,” laughs Lady Gaga, referring to the now infamous lightning strike at the Sala Grande Theater, which caused a 20-minute projection outage during the world premiere of Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born here at the 75th Venice Film Festival. “The elements were with us and it was a beautiful moment.

Lighter colors, soft peachy pink and beading caught the spotlight at the Venice Film Festival, while men went predictable.
