Bruce Springsteen

Bruce Springsteen receives the Best Song Golden Globe for “Streets of Philadelphia” from the film Philadelphia, directed by Jonathan Demme, starring Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington, at the 51st Golden Globes held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Saturday, January 22, 1994.  .

It wasn’t so much a clash of the titans, it was more like a tribute to them when Bruce Springsteen sat down with Martin Scorsese for a public conversation at Hollywood's Raleigh Studios, organized by Netflix. The pre-Emmy event was held in support of the campaign for Springsteen’s one-man show “Springsteen on Broadway”.

Fin de siècle. Beginning with 1988 the Golden Globes and the Academy choices were mostly in sync.

Golden Globe winner Michael Keaton stars in the action thriller American Assassin. A veteran actor, still very much proud of his portrait of Batman directed by Tim Burton,  Keaton finds inspiration in music for his different roles.
