A social satire in which a guy realizes he would have a better life if he were to shrink himself.

There’s a reason Alexander Payne calls Downsizing his biggest movie. The latest feature from the Golden Globe winning director of Sideways and About Schmidt, which bowed in Venice and Toronto, is set in a near future where people are miniaturized to environmental gain (but not their egos or problems).

Two-time Golden Globe winner Matt Damon will be the darling of two of the most important summer film festivals, Venice and Toronto, with two movies: Alexander Payne’s Downsizing and George Clooney’s Suburbicon. As a producer, he’s in pre-production on the series City on the Hill.
