From the Forests of Northern Spain to the Argentine Patagonia, Cinema Celebrates Planet Earth

In celebration of the month in which we focus our attention on our home, planet Earth, and the numerous problems that plague it, for many of which humans are responsible, we look back at the cinema which, for a hundred years, has contributed to creating awareness of the importance of caring for nature. Reflecting on the screen the wonders of nature and the current dramas about the interrelation between man and the environment have been, and continue to be, an adventure that has had many exponents in world cinema.

Climate Protest Closes Red Carpet in Venice

Just before the official closing with the awaited announcement of winners, the Venice festival was finally drenched by the rain that rarely sits out the festival on the lagoon. Also contributing to stirring up the climate were the hundreds of protesters who showed up and set up camp on the red carpet, vowing not to move and shut down the evening premiere of Burnt Orange Heresy, the art world thriller by Giuseppe Capotondi set to close the festival.
