Fashion is exploding in the color trend that started at the Golden Globes. Brights crested in all forms of pink.

Which fashion trends will hold steady in the new year? The Golden Globes highlighted what is hot now, but also hinted at what’s to come. Let’s look at what the stars are trending right now.

Fresh color did dominate at the Golden Globes, but so did classic black and white,  worn to real effect by men and women.

It was a colorful red carpet as women played with the palette and men did the same. Variations of chartreuse from yellow through bright green accented the evening.

Last year Rami Malek walked off with a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama. This year he has been nominated again, for television (Mr.

Cynthia Erivo is nominated for a Golden Globe for her song “Stand Up” and also in the Best Actress in a Motion Picture Drama category. But the Broadway star is also notable on the red carpet.

The South African star who first claimed a Golden Globe in 2004 when she transformed herself for Monster is back this year in Bombshell, again almost unrecognizable, as Megan Kelly, documenting the story of the Fox women who took down Roger Ailes. On-screen, playing against type - but when she takes to the red carpet she is always memorable, transforming herself, never predictable.

As we run up to the Golden Globe announcements carried live on NBC on January 5, 2020, we are showcasing some of our nominees in their red-carpet moments. Fashion is an expression of creativity and Billy Porter, nominated this year in the Best Actor in a Television Series category (Pose), showcases that men can be dynamic on the red carpet if they only allow themselves to be.

The Golden Globe nominees were announced and the winners will be chosen on January 5th, shown on NBC live from Beverly Hills. While the Golden Globes honors the best in television and film, the red carpet is also a celebration of creativity.
