Ford v Ferrari

American car designer Carroll Shelby and driver Ken Miles battle corporate interference, the laws of physics and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford and challenge Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1966.

For his portrayal of Ford race car driver Ken Miles in Ford v Ferrari Welsh actor Christian Bale received his 5th Golden Globe nomination: he's won twice, last year for Vice, and in 2010 for The Fighter, for which he also won his only Oscar (in a Best Supporting role). Bale's other two Golden Globe nominations were for The Big Short and American Hustle.

Golden Globe-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in the new sports drama Ford v Ferrari, based on the untold true story of the retired race car builder Carroll Shelby (Damon) and his pilot and friend Ken Miles (Bale). Together Shelby and Miles built a revolutionary race car for Ford and took on Ferrari's unbeatable team at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.

Ford v Ferrari started hot off the line and raced to the center of the podium with a $52. 4 million launch in first place at home and abroad.
